Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Oh My!! Part 8

Tuesday May 22, 2018

Another lovely day...
We started with a walk with the dogs
Then Wayne and I were off, again.  This is a common sight.  Instead of putting a metal plate on the road over a broken run-off drain, they bring in all this equipment and you go around it.
Our original destination was the bike shop, because we can....
Then we went to Tutbury castle. This was also used as one of the prisons for Mary Queen of Scots.
It was here during the Battle of Hastings in 1066 when William of Normandy became the King of England.
It was destroyed for the last time by the Act of Parliament in 1647 after holding out for Charles I in the Civil War.
This what it looked like at one time.
 This is what is left
 Beautiful English countryside
Tutbury Church

Then it was back to Andy's house for a traditional English roast beef dinner.
